I first met Bill as a teenager. He was my brother's best friend and from the moment I met him I had a crush on him. But alas, my brother would not be match maker. After my brother graduated from high school I met Bill one last time. He had joined the Navy and came to tell my brother goodby.

We both married someone else and it would be over thirty years later that our paths would cross again. Call it Keeper Of The Stars, God, or whatever you want. But someone played matchmaker. Nothing else could explain why I answered two personal ads online to have one of them be Bill. Especially since both of us had moved to another state. Because we lived across the state from each other we emailed and it was a couple of months before we even knew who each other was. One day he emailed me where he grew up and what school he attended and signed the email Bill. He had never told me his last name and when I read that email I couldn't believe that it might be the same Bill I had a crush on. It was and the rest is history.

I don't think many men would turn their world upside down but Bill put in a transfer to one of the closest Lowe's near me. Once the transfer was approved he commuted 160 miles round trip. for about three months. He did not want to get an apartment so he would have less driving because he wanted to spend every minute he could with me and my son. If that isn't love I don't know what love is.

Although our time together was short I will always be thankful to "The Keeper Of The Stars" for bringing us together again.
